Beginning in August we are
offering 3 seating options for C5/C6 Corvettes. The first bucket seat
option has taller, more aggressive side bolsters for those who prefer a
true race seat feel. The bolsters taper to help with entry and exit. We
will have both a vinyl/suede version and custom upholstered leather and
leather/suede options. Starting pricing and options are shown below. Seats
take approximately 4 weeks to produce from time of deposit.
Seat in vinyl/with suede inserts - $699
Seat in leather or leather/suede combination - $999
Available Corvette logos - $49 each
Painted seat shells - $180 per seat
Brackets for mounting to the o/e tracks - $99
per seat (please continue reading below for headroom information)
Custom mounting brackets with sliders - $299 per seat

The second bucket seat will be a lower
side bolster version of the seat above. This will be ideal for those
preferring a seat with easier entry and exit, while still providing
greatly improved support over the stock seats. Both bucket seats will have
4, 5 or 6 point harness capability. We will post dimensions soon but if
you would like to know how you'd fit in these seats you can sit in a
Recaro Pole Position seat, which has similar shape and dimensions. A
prototype of the lower side bolster version is below. This seat has a drop
down between our slider/mounting brackets to add headroom. It can be
nearly on the floor and still on sliders. Pictures to explain
this are coming soon.

We have hardware for mounting these to the stock
power or manual tracks. However, all seats we have seen thus far mounted
to the stock rails loose headroom, compared to the stock lowest position.
We currently estimate about a 1" loss, but will confirm that on our
next test fit. You could remove the rear bottom cushion while wearing a
helmet and gain some of that back. We also
offer a mounting bracket with sliders that sits the seat slightly lower
than stock (about .5" - 1"). If you need to gain more headroom
than this, a mounting system without sliders might be preferred. More on
this later.
The third seat option is recommended for those
wanting to retain the power tracks and not loose headroom. It is a custom
seat back that bolts to the stock bottom. We make the complete back and
provide a matching cover to reupholster the factory bottom. We can also
add sub belt openings for the bottom if needed. This is a great option for
C6 owners who want a less complicated install with regards to airbag
issues. Since the o/e tracks and seat bottoms remain, your car still has
the seat track positioning sensors (used to determine the force with which
the front airbags will deploy) , o/e seat belts and pre-tensioners and
passenger occupant detection system still in the car. You should only need
airbag simulators for the missing airbags in the seat backs to keep the
remaining airbag system functioning. This all applies to those wanting to
replace their C6 seats for daily driving. If you only need to replace
seats for track use, installing our bucket seats on separate brackets that
can be quickly swapped in and out for events might be a better option.
This way your stock interior and airbag system is unaltered for daily
driving. Either way, we can help! Upholstery in C5 or C6 styles available.
